Question by : What will obtaining an Associates in Web Design and a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design allow me to do?

I am just wondering what job opportunities will be available for the degrees I am pursuing. I am currently working on my Associates in Web Design and will receive my degree in the fall. After that I plan on working on my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design. Is this a good idea? I initially planned on just taking Web Design, but I want to explore a more creative path with Graphic Design.

It will allow you to frame your diploma on the wall. Web design and graphic design is all about your ability, meaning your portfolio, the degree it self will not matter much.

Question by X-Malleus: What exactly is a finance charge, and under what circumstances will I need to pay one?

Pretty much exactly what the main question says. I have no idea what a “finance charge” is. For instance, would I be charged a finance charge if I charged a purchase, and then paid the balance immediately?

Any additional information that could be given would be great, as I’m considering getting my first credit card, and want to know everything I can so that I don’t get myself into trouble.

A “finance charge” is the fee you pay the bank for the convenience of them letting you borrow money. Some banks calculate your finance charge based upon your average daily balance within the month, while some calculate based on your balance at the time your invoice closes.

When you go about signing up for a credit card, the details will let you know what type of APR you’ll be getting. With it being your first credit card, you’re likely to get an APR around 20%. That means, the interest you’ll be charged YEARLY is 20%. To find what you’d be charged monthly, simply divide it by 12; it would end up being 1.67% per month.

As an example, if your balance was 0, your finance charge would be .67. That sounds cheap, but just remember, it adds up.

Question by Happy: Will an insurance company insure our home if there is a unpermitted cottage?

I’m in the process of buying a foreclosure home (Saratoga,CA, can’t transfer the insurance since it has already lapsed) that has a detached unpermitted cottage (2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room total of 900 sq ft), the main home also has a unpermitted converted garage that is used as a in law quarter (separate entrance and full bathroom), it also has a unpermitted sun room too. I really love the home and tried looking for home insurance but it looks like no one will insure me. Is there anyway I can get insured for this property without having to lie about these unpermitted additions to the insurance company? Any advice would be appreciated and any suggestions which insurance company would insure me for a reasonable price. Thank you in advance.

first did you know that the the property had unpermitted additions when YOU STARTED THE PROSESS OF buying it
IF NOT YOU NEED TO SEE A LAWYER.
if you are buying a property with problems never pay anything for the unpermitted part. Many time you can even bargin down the value of the property. because of problems.
also check with the building department as to what it will take to bring to property in to legal status. in some areas it many be easy as paying the building fees. and in others you may have to tear down unpermitted buildings.
PS GET EVERY THING FROM THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT IN WRITING.

If the bank did not disclose the defect when they put it up for foreclosure sale. i hope you got title insurance.

My family have accommodation in Australia. I do our marketing from home, as I have a toddler. It’s hard to keep up with ideas on internet marketing, so I am hoping to find some useful sites. Any suggestions would be great!

Washington DC – Penn Quarter: Firemen’s Insurance Company and National Union Insurance Company buildings

The Firemen’s Insurance Company Building, at 303 Seventh Street NW, was built in 1882 by R.J. Lauritz. The five-story corner octogonal tower, once covered with a dome, exemplies restrained Queen Anne detailing. It is adjoined to the east by the four-story National Union Insurance Company building, with which it forms a coherent group.

The Firemen’s Insurance Company began its operations in 1838.
